Location: Orange County, California, USA
Surface area: 12ha

Trestles beach reputation comes from the quality of its waves, known through the world as an amazing surf spot. The intensive use of this wild site causes however important damages to the surrounding marsh environment and implies human endangering due to the slope and the crossing of the railways.
The new access to the beach is designed like an introduction to surfing and its gliding sensations. At the railway crossing, the tunnel device recreates the tube surfing experience, in a scenography as much striking for the pedestrians as for the train users. |
